Design honors a legendary aircraft. The reverse of the coin depicts two Hawker Hurricane aircraft flying in the Battle of Britain. The plane in the foreground has been artfully colorized. During World War Two the Hurricane was produced in Britain and Canada and was flown by Britain’s Royal Air Force and Royal Canadian Air Force. The obverse of the coin depicts King George VI the Sovereign of Britain during the war. The portrait was designed by T. Top grade colorized proof from RCM.
