This fantastic 1 Oz Silver coin celebrates one of Canadas many fascinating stories of unexplained phenomena, a story that captures the imagination and seemingly defies explanation. The coin has an incredible balloon shape, has a beautiful coloration, has a Proof quality and comes in an elegant case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage to 4.000 pcs worldwide. The reverse of the coin is designed by artist Joel Kimmel, and is based on Stefan Michalaks account of what transpired on May 20, 1967, near Falcon Lake, Manitoba. A full application of colour re-creates the springtime colours of the place where Michalak saw two objects appear in the midday sky. Based on the witnesss descriptions and sketches, the oval-shaped UFO on the reverse has a steel-like appearance as it hovers above him. Blacklight-activated features complete the story by mimicking the distinctive red glow described by Michalak, while adding a yellow hue to the blast of hot air or gas that knocked the amateur prospectoron his back and left him with mysterious burn marks. On top of the reverse, the inscriptions: CANADA the issue country, 20 DOLLARS the face value, 2018 the year of issue. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the inscriptions: ELIZABETH II the name of the Queen and D · G · REGINA Dei Gratia Regina. Falcon Lake Falcon Lake is located in the Whiteshell Provincial Park in southeastern Manitoba, Canada. The lake is about 152 kilometres east of Winnipeg on the Trans-Canada Highway near the Ontario border. It is known in Ufology for the May 20, 1967 UFO sighting known as the Falcon Lake Incident. The 2010 album The Falcon Lake Incident was recorded at a cottage on Falcon Lake by Canadian singer-songwriter Jim Bryson. The lake inspired the name of TV series Falcon Beach although that fictional location is set on another Manitoba Lake. The lake was also a favourite summer destination of Neil Young, who wrote a song entitled “Falcon Lake” while with the Buffalo Springfield.
