The 2016 Canadian Landscapes: The Rockies reverse is Stéphanie Gauvins rendering of Tower Peak, a highly in Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park. The peak can be seen in the distance, with Gauvins outstanding use of color depicting part of the mountain as being in the sun and the rest covered in shade. Near the base of the mountain, off in the distance, is thick forest, though the foreground has a clearing that is spotted with just a few trees. The artistic rendering of the piece makes it very attractive to seasoned collectors and novices alike. An inscription at the top along the rim bears the name of the country that issued the coin and its year of mintage, reading, CANADA 2016. In the lower right on the ground are the initials SG, a reference to the designer. As with other coins from the Royal Canadian Mint, Susanna Blunts portrait of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse of the coin. She faces to the right side of the coin, but her shoulders are angled toward the right of the holder. The Queens curly hair partially covers her ear, which bears an earring, with the other piece of jewelry being her necklace. The Queen is not wearing a crown. Blunts initials, SB, are inscribed on the Queens right shoulder. Under her effigy is the coins face value, 20 DOLLARS. To the right is the inscription D. REGINA, while her name, ELIZABETH II, is inscribed on the left side of the coin.
