All of our Canadian coins are acquired directly from the Royal Canadian Mint – The counterfeiting of numismatic coins, and the sale of stolen coins, are serious problems for coin collectors and dealers. With their ability to transform a single sunbeam into an array of dazzling colors, stained glass windows have captivated architects and artists alike. The Royal Canadian Mint proudly celebrates the timeless artistry of stained glass windows – one of Canada’s most widespread forms of public art – with the introduction of its dazzling “Stained Glass” series of coins. A beautiful gift for someone who enjoys the beauty of stained glass! Most of the surface of this coin is covered in translucent or opaque enamel, making the coin shine and reflect light. The enamel, filling individual sections of the coin, is filled by hand to represent the stained glass panels from the window. The second coin in the Royal Canadian Mint’s exciting new “Stained Glass” series celebrating Canadian public art. Celebrate the rise of a distinctly Canadian artistic sensibility and the unmatched beauty of the McCausland dome in Toronto’s Casa Loma. With a very limited maximum mintage of 7,500 coins and a beautiful full-color enameled design, this fine silver coin is sure to be sought after by collectors and gift-givers alike. For our Canadian customers, this coin is GST/HST exempt. The reverse image of this coin features a color reproduction of the central disc of the McCausland stained glass dome in Toronto’s Casa Loma. At the heart of the disc lies a raised polished silver circle framed with engraved rays. The image is divided into four quadrants by raised silver lines spanning from the central circle to the coin’s raised outer rim. Each of the four lines bears a stylized cluster of nine purple grapes. These four clusters are separated from each other by dark green leaves set against a whimsically engraved lighter green palazzo-like background. A golden vine encircles the central portion of the image, winding its way around the coin from central curlicues that surround the central circle. The outer rim of the image is lined with alternating light green segments. Each coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clam-shell in a protective outer box. Best Offer Pricing When we offer final marked-down sale prices that are lower than our minimum Best Offer price, eBays system isnt always capable of removing the Best Offer feature. All of the coins offered in this listing are unsearched. Many coin dealers search all coins when they are received from the Mint. They “cherry-pick” the best coins. Then submit them to be graded, certified, and slabbed by PCGS, NGC, ANACS, etc. When a dealer searches coins, those that they sell in original Mint packaging are only lesser quality coins. Photos: When a listing offers multiples of the same coin, one coin is picked at random and photographed. Since all coins offered in that listing are essentially identical, the coin photographed is representative of all coins offered. Surface areas that appear black on some proof coin photos are actually highly polished, mirror-bright metal reflecting the color of the camera. We often include proof coin photos with the coin slightly tilted to better depict the mirror bright surfaces. However, tilting the coin may resulting one side being slightly out of focus. Whenever possible, we use actual photos of our coins, rather than just stock artwork from the Mint. We frequently update and upgrade the photos that appear with our listings, using improved cameras and lenses and better lighting. We will honor your requests for additional photos as quickly as our schedule permits. The item “Canada 2014 $20 Stained Glass Casa Loma, 1 oz.
